Requirements for Regular Applicants

  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of completing the application.
  • Must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. by the application deadline.
  • Must submit the completed Apprenticeship Application and Supplemental Form.
  • Pay a $20.00 application processing fee.
  • Provide a copy of your official transcripts (in a sealed envelope from the school) from high school and any postsecondary school, showing courses and grades. If you have a G.E.D., you must¬†also¬†provide a copy of your G.E.D. Certificate and scores.
  • Minimum Math Requirement: Must have completed one full year of high school Algebra I with a passing grade or one post high school Algebra course that is equivalent to Algebra I.
  • Provide a copy of a valid driver's license.
  • Must be a resident of one of the counties this program geographically covers:
    • Alabama: Lauderdale, Colbert, Marion, Limestone, Lawrence, Winston,Madison, Morgan, Franklin, and the portion of Marshall north of the Tennessee River
    • Tennessee: Hardin, Wayne, Lawrence, and Giles
  • Applicants may also prefer to submit a copy of their resume. Although helpful, it is not required.
